MASK OF GODS​ is a dramatic murder mystery based on the world-famous true discovery of Otzi and all the characters that fall victim to the curse of the Iceman. The series follows intersecting storylines set in both modern and prehistoric times, based on real life events and ancient myths.
SEASON 1: OTZI - CURSE OF THE ICEMAN​ is set in Vent, a small town in The Alps, Season One takes place in the aftermath of the discovery of a prehistoric body high in the mountains, which exposes the secrets of four characters whose lives are linked to the people who lived on the land thousands of years earlier. Season One is a murder mystery that will follow storylines set in the 1990’s and in the Copper Age in the most naturalistic portrayal of ancient humans we’ve ever seen in film or television before.
THE SERIES IS CREATED by the award winning team behind one of the most ambitious debut feature films ever produced: FISHING WITHOUT NETS, a story of pirates in Somalia told from the perspective of the Somalis, which garnered international acclaim being called "Sundance's most beautiful film" by The Wrap, taking home the 'Best Director' award at Sundance, and was the first scripted film from VICE Studios.
